To maximize your networking opportunities, it is wise to get the Networking and VIP passes because they give delegates access to many of these features.
Preparing yourself for the conference
Before attending any conference or event, it is important to know what you are aiming to achieve. You need to do some research on the event and the city where it is taking place. More importantly, it is possible to set goals of why you are attending, join the official event page, download the event app (which will be available closer to the show).
You need to pack according to the weather. It will be odd to pack beach clothes when Londonʼs weather in October is averaging 13 degrees.
Visa requirements
With the possibility of the UK leaving the EU, there are several things you will need to know. The EU, EEA country, or Switzerland citizens will be able to travel to the UK without a visa. If free movement is banned, then these citizens will still be able to enter the UK but only for a period of 3 months.
Youʼll need to show a valid passport or national identity card if youʼre a citizen of either: An EU country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland.
You can use automatic ePassport gates at some airports if your passport has a ‘chipʼ on it and youʼre 12 or over. Using the ePassport gates is usually faster.
If youʼre not a citizen of one of these countries, youʼll need to show a valid passport.
US citizens do not need a visa but need to show their passports at the border. You will need to apply for a visa if you have a criminal record.
Non-EU citizens will need to apply for a visa.
