SiGMA’s coverage of the BiS SiGMA South America 2026 agenda highlighted a panel titled “Responsible Advertising in the Gaming and Betting Market in the Age of Algorithms,” scheduled for April 8 and explicitly framed around how companies can maintain responsible advertising standards while remaining competitive under Brazil’s new regulatory framework.

That wording is important for affiliates because it broadens what “compliance” may come to mean in practice. For years, many performance teams treated compliance mostly as a question of ad copy, licensing status, and obvious restricted claims. But once regulators and industry stakeholders start focusing on algorithms, the discussion moves closer to audience selection, platform delivery, targeting logic, and the mechanisms that determine who gets exposed to gambling content in the first place.

The practical implication is that responsible advertising is becoming less of a PR label and more of an operational constraint. Teams that rely on vague audience expansion, weak prequalification, or indirect user acquisition may find that the regulatory conversation catches up with them faster than expected. Stronger teams will usually adapt by tightening GEO logic, partner fit, and campaign architecture. In regulated gambling, that kind of discipline is increasingly part of staying scalable, not just staying legal.
